We strictly limit the data we collect to operate the platform safely:
A. Account & Admin Data
When you register to create a community on our map, your credentials are processed via AWS Cognito. We collect:
- Email Address: Used for account login, identity verification, and platform moderation.
- Password: Securely hashed and managed via AWS Cognito.
Your email address is visible to our platform administrators in the admin approval console to review community submissions, combat spam, and send administrative notifications. Your email address is never published publicly on the map.
B. Public Map Listings
Information submitted in the "Create Community" form (Community Name, Description, selected Map Tiles, and social links) will be made publicly available to users browsing the map.
2. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services
- Third-Party Infrastructure: We utilize Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cognito for authentication and account management.
- No Public Exposure or Sale: We do not publish your private contact details, nor do we sell, rent, or monetize your personal data.
3. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services
- AWS Cognito: We use Amazon Web Services Cognito to securely process and store account credentials.
- No Selling of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties or advertisers.
- External Links: Clicking external links (e.g., WhatsApp, Discord) directs you to third-party platforms governed by their own privacy policies.
4. Account Deletion & Data Rights
You have the right to request deletion of your account and any community listings created under your account. To submit a request, please email us from the email associated with your AWS Cognito account to removals@hexlink.org
5. Legal Identity & UK Data Rights (UK GDPR)
This platform is operated independently by an individual developer ("Data Controller") based in the United Kingdom.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you have the right to access, update, or request the deletion of your personal data (such as your account email).
